[concern] EU conducts countervailing investigation against Chinese optical cables

On December 21, 2020, the European Commission announced that in response to the application submitted by the EU company Europacable on November 5, 2020 on behalf of optical cable manufacturers, the European Commission launched a countervailing investigation into optical cable (Optical Fibre Cables) originating in China. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) code of the product in question is ex 8544 7000 (TARIC code is 8544 7000 10). The subsidy and damage investigation period in this case is from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, and the damage analysis period is from January 1, 2017 to the end of the subsidy and damage investigation period.
